5 Positive Things To Do This Week #40

Spend some time working on your posture and consciously thinking about the way you sit and stand. This is a must for me before I turn into a creaky old lady. If you spent your weekend watching the Glastonbury Festival footage wishing you were there (hands up), start saving your pennies now for 2014 – tickets released in October this year! Pick up a gift for your little un’s favourite teacher before the Summer holidays. More on this later in…

5 Positive Things To Do This Week #38

Do a little stargazing to put things into perspective. I use the Google Sky Map to name all the wee glimmers of light in the evening sky. Have a DVD on standby for those blue days, when nothing else will do. Give me Alan Partridge any day for escapism and laughter. Transfer bought biscuits to a biscuit tin for days/weeks/months when baking is off the menu. It’s Bike Week! The perfect time to get on your bike and ride…

    Lately: The Simple Things

The simple things I have been enjoying lately: picking my first daisy of the year, putting biscuits into my biscuit tin, bumble bees, feeling sunshine on my skin and lunch with friends. Cheese on toast, walking to work, our new digital radio, cappucinos and biscotti in bed, running through fields and opening nice post. Reading exciting emails, floral dresses, walking into a room scented with lilies, smelling books, and mugs of hot sweet tea. ♥ P.S If you fancy you…

    Ten True Things

Inspired by The Owl and the Accordion’s recent and brilliant blog post, Ten True Things, I’m sharing a little of my life today, including all the things that perhaps don’t look peachy on paper but nevertheless make me who I am. 1. I am annoyingly awkward. I stumble over sentences, ridiculously clumsy and inarticulate. Endearing? Nup, it’s annoying. I make up strange words, then wonder why strangers look at me oddly when they don’t have a clue what I’m on…

5 Positive Things To Do This Week #23

Avoid social networking for one day. Just one day. Make homemade popcorn and plan a movie night for yourself, your beau or friends. Buy a jewellery polish cloth and shine up your wares like any good magpie would. Refrain from gossip. It’s a waste of your time and energy. Plus it’s mean. Spend a little at your local butcher, baker, candle stick maker. Brew up and see my previous 5 Positive Things posts here   ♥

“The cure for anything is salt water. Sweat, tears, or the sea.” – Isak Dinesen Happy February, my friends. We made it through the wilderness, we made it through.  So what do we have to look forward to (flicks through diary)? I’m still in disbelief that we’ll be flying across the world –…
