Good Vibes Only #2

Another good vibes post? Well yeah, I feel that I need to take note of all the positive things that put a spring in my step on a frequent basis (I do this sporadically anyway) so as not to focus on the crummy stuff. Shall we begin?

Quiet moments Listening to blues music and quietly falling asleep. Sometimes the most uneventful things are the most gratifying.

Guilty pleasures Cooking from scratch chills me out at the end of a working day but there are times when I really couldn’t care less whether I’ve made it or not. Buying something that I don’t need to prepare and can put straight in the oven makes me happy. Sue me! My current convenience faves are fish fingers; goats cheese, butternut squash and spinach pie (I think it’s a Higgidy pie one) and macaroni cheese for one when the OH has gone out to play. Mmm. All the non- healthy things. So very mmm.

Spring sunshine Well wasn’t the weekend a shocker?! We didn’t waste a single sun beam; we walked with Polly, we sat in the sunshine and I donned my peep toe Lotta by Stockholm’s for the first time this year. More of the same please.

Planning Yorkshire 3 peaks Challenge So we’ve decided as a family to crack on with a sponsored Alzheimer’s challenge each year and for 2017 we’ll be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in July. Has anyone ever done it? Any tips or advice?

Family coming home I’m super excited as not only will my Mother-in-Law be visiting from Australia soon but the OH’s brother and sister-in-law will be returning from their European road trip too. All in one month! April/May is going to be fun!

Other grand things

Having a family lunch at our local pub, planning interior projects, watching the OH build a fire in the cooler evenings, reading ghost stories (Kate Mosse’s The Mistletoe Bride and other haunting stories), playing sock Derby (no skates!) to warm up at training, writing this blog post for my sister Sharon and laughing at old memories and playing pool for the first time in years to cheer us up after a very wet and muddy walk with the pup!
