Review: Groupon

groupon

I try to spend my pennies wisely and if I can help it, I don’t pay full price for goods that are likely to be reduced in the future. With a little patience, there is always a bargain or deal to be had – I’m a true Yorkshire lass you see.

So when Groupon, the discount site for products, events and getaways, asked me to review their site, I was happy to find a suitable bargain or two.

It took me a while to choose the product I wanted, mainly because there were so many. I started to feel the discounts on offer were more about quantity than quality but waited a bit longer until I found the ideal deal.

With Christmas looming and a full diary, I decided to choose a product rather than a break away or meal out. I opted to buy an alternative to our laptop that was, at the time, living in the local repair shop. I purchased a Groupon for a Busbi 7″ Android Tablet. Oo-er-missus.

When you make a purchase you receive a voucher code which you then redeem from the merchant (watch out, they do expire). However in my case, the order was processed automatically via their direct checkout. Super simple, my friends.

As for the delivery, I received 3 emails in total confirming the order and a rough date when my shiny new Tablet would arrive, which it did within the specified time, after Christmas.

The Busbi 7″ Android Tablet, I’m happy to say, is now a welcome backup – I’m able to blog, use social media sites and download Google Play Apps to my hearts content. The front-facing camera is poor quality (so don’t buy it for that) and the speed of the device is slower than I’m used to, but for £59, it’s worth every penny.

Groupon have a cracking deal on a Steam Mop at the moment which I’m very tempted by (I HATE CLEANING FLOORS!) but I’m a proud geek and I like my Apps too much. Ah, thank you Android and thank you Groupon.

Disclosure: I recieved a voucher to write a review for Groupon. As always, all opinions are my own.
