Heart Gallery – ‘I DO’ Wedding Exhibition

Yesterday saw the launch of the ‘I DO’ wedding exhibition at Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge, a  showcase of work from UK designer/makers to tempt brides, grooms, family and friends! A few familiar faces (Go The Whole Hog and Milk Bar) also provided customers with delicious food and beverages in the garden, making it a pretty perfect Sunday afternoon! Charity Shop Finds: Hebden Bridge

I had a little charity shop luck recently whilst walking home last week. A couple of brand new (newly knitted) blankets which I couldn’t resist, a floral tin, a pale denim shirt from River Island, a simple black knit jumper from M&S and four great reads. Tender is the Night by F.Scott Fitzgerald has been on my ‘to read’ list for a long time, so I’m happy I stumbled across this, amongst the other books I quickly snapped up. I…

I’ve teamed up with Joules to delve into the world of womens wellies – I can’t think of a nicer thing to do on a wet and windy morning. I best brew up! I began my welly love affair as a 16-year-old festival-goer, prancing (and dancing) in fields accompanied by my green rubber-boots-of-joy, without a care in the world. That’s the magic…

    The Humble Knit

As we are being cheated out of our Great British Summer this year, I think it quite appropriate for us to regain some Winter benefits. I’m talking about cosy knitwear, comfort food served in bowls, fragrant mulled wine, crackling open fires & dare I even mention Christmas – we are over halfway, y’know? All the things that we love about Winter that make us forget about the horrible weather is exactly what I need right now. Of course,  I would…

    9 good things.

It is the 9th May today so here are 9 good things that are currently making me happy…just because. My friends. This was us at the weekend on the first hen do of the year – a slumber party. I may have danced my socks off. ♥ The prospect of a holiday. We’re not going to Australia until next February but the planning (for me) is as much fun as the actual going. I’m beside myself. I’ve begun looking for…
