Good Vibes Only: Hey June
Outfit Details: Dungarees via Esprit (old) | Adidas T-shirt via Adidas | Converse Trainers Take a chill pill, 2018. Seriously, my brain cannot fathom that we are in the month of June already (I know I say this each month). My last blog post was a month ago, which I actually didn’t realise (due to reasons below), so it feels nice to check-in and have a chat. It’s been a funny old month. Alongside a busy work month I’ve been…

Wear: Trench Coats
We all know that spring in the UK comes with sunshine and showers so best be prepared, right? There’s no use in moaning about it when there are so many beautiful spring trench coats out there to be worn! The classic trench is the perfect transitional coat to accompany you from spring to autumn. It’s timeless, flattering for all shapes and sizes and easy to style up or down come rain or shine. As you’ll see from my picks below, it’s…

Good Vibes Only: The Arrival of Spring
I know the sunshine in the UK last week was fleeting but boy, wasn’t it a treat? Like snow, the heat slows me down and in this modern world of ours I feel like that can only be a good thing. Spring is here and I’m feeling all the good vibes: Roller Derby If it wasn’t for the sunshine I reckon I would have started and ended the week in an anxiety ridden blur – it was our Roller Derby Championship…

The Treat Yo’ Self Ten
I’ve mentioned before on the blog that the only time I feel OK about treating myself is on my birthday and at Christmas (spending well-received gifted pennies). The rest of the time, the house, gifts for others and holidays take priority. Last week however I got myself a wee pay rise. To mark the occasion of doing a good job, and to stick a pin on what was a good week I celebrated humbly with a new plant and a reduced…

Good Vibes Only: March

I mean, I’m looking forward to spring as much as the next person but I need this year to hit the breaks already. I’ve not had a proper blog catch up since January so I thought I’d check in, and grace you with an outfit post and some of the positive stuff that’s been happening of late. Beast of…

Positive Things To Do (with International Women’s Day in mind)
1| REFLECT, share and celebrate the cultural and political achievements made by extraordinary women throughout history. 2| Watch F Rated films The F-Rating is applied to films by cinemas and film festivals giving moviegoers an easily identifiable label so they can choose films that fairly represent women on screen and behind the camera. Highlighting these films sends a clear message to distributors, producers and funders that women can and should have more than just a supporting role within the industry.…

Home and Style Finds: A Few Birthday Picks
I always feel guilty shopping for myself. I’m not sure if that’s an adult thing? But when there’s money that could be spent on joint things for the house, holidays or put in to savings, money spent on & Other Stories loveliness or a new notebook seems a bit of a frivolity. It’s nonsense really, we all deserve the odd treat, but I feel a sense of relief when my birthday comes around and I can treat myself to a few…

At Home: Bedroom Updates with JYSK
Collaborative Post – all products listed at the bottom of the blog post I don’t know about you, but when the flurry of Christmas comes to a close and a new year begins I immediately want to spring clean, and spoil the house to a few new treats. I prefer the latter mind you, spring cleaning always takes WAY longer than I think.

Looking Forward to February
Outfit Details: Cardigan c/o Damart | Black Jeans from New Look (old) | Black top from Gap (old) | Boots from Lotus Shoes (old) The tired face emoji (????) has been my preferred method of response to all types of communication this month. I don’t usually opt into the ‘January is the hardest month of the year’ camp; the weather doesn’t bother me and I usually feel enthused by the start of a brand new year. However this year, I…

Walk + Eat: Peanut Butter & Oat Cookies
This is my version of a healthy snack. Nevermind the chocolate, it has oats in it! And besides, the beauty of the Walk + Eat recipes is that I get to walk off these indulgences. These cookies are great for an early morning treat to give you energy for walks. I sometimes switch the chocolate for nuts for added texture but this batch caters to my sweet tooth. Enjoy!

Whistle-Stop: London
Ah, London. I could write a thousand whistle-stop blog posts on this city and still not have experienced everything that this great capital has to offer. But if you find yourself visiting for a short amount of time, and are feeling a little overwhelmed with what to see and do, here’s some suggestions/tips for a 24 hour whistle-stop trip.
