Treat Yo’ Self Ten #3

With February 14th looming, I thought it might be nice to share a choice selection of goods that you might like to treat yo’ self to. Instead of feeling disgruntled by Valentine’s Day, use it as a prompt to look after number one, and give yourself some attention! Here’s some products and brands that I’ve been enjoying/coveting:

How cute is this womens loungewear set from V by Very? Any item of clothing that’s effortless, easy to wear and comfortable to boot, gets my vote. Loungewear, I love you. Partner this striped shorts PJ set with your dressing gown in winter, for all those cosy nights in watching Russian Doll on Netflix.

I have a feeling I’ll be going through my notebook collection quickly this year (I’ve started creative writing again), and it’s been liberating using notebooks for actual writing, rather than just lists! This lay-flat notebook from Katie Leamon is extra beautiful, don’t you think?

I’m adding these beautiful Amanda Coleman clam shell studs to my birthday list to inspire more seaside adventures this year. Aren’t they pretty?

I’ve heard lots of people harping on about REN skincare, but it wasn’t until recently that I’ve tried their products (made from 100% plant and mineral-derived ingredients). I received this renewal mask as a Christmas gift and can’t recommend it enough. I’m looking forward to trying more from their Radiance collection. Do you have any REN favourites?

I’m a tad in love with this mini soho leather backpack from Scaramanga. I think the photograph inspired me first; look how carefree and sunny the styling is! It’s how I imagine I’ll be in a couple of months when I’m on holiday in Australia (minus the beautiful long locks!). For writers, wouldn’t this be the perfect gift to store all your writing tools in? Stunning.

Arthouse Unlimited are a fantastic charity that support artists living with complex epilepsy and learning disabilities. As someone that has history with epilepsy (as did my auntie and great-grandma) it’s charities like this that make my heart burst. They create art, homewares, clothing and other goods. Plus they make handmade chocolate you guys! Treat yo’ self, and do some good this Valentine’s!

I’m ALL for supporting libraries, and picking up books from the charity shop to save on pennies (I have a wish list that lives in my purse for when I’m browsing local charity shops). But! I also think it’s important to support writers by buying their books too, and I’ll continue to do so until I have my own in-house library ( I can dream).

Recent recommendations: This Kate Bush cloth-bound book that I received for Christmas and A Poem For Every Night of The Year; thoughtful gifts for the literary lover in your life.

I bought myself some sunny yellow court shoes from M&S in their winter sale for my holiday in April, to wear with ankle length jeans and trousers. I couldn’t find the ones I bought online I’m afraid, but these block heel shoes are just as perfect. Plus M&S do ½ footwear sizes too, if you’re an inbetweener like me.

Next on my list, once I’ve been to the opticians, is to update my sunglasses lenses in my favourite sunnies. These from Trouva are pretty peachy though, although a little out of my budget.

Seen anything you fancy?
