Home and Style Finds

Here’s a few choice pieces I’ve bookmarked for the home and wardrobe that have caught my attention lately. My bank balance won’t cover these things anytime soon but I can live vicariously through the blog instead, right? There are a couple of dog related items in there, naturally. And for full disclosure I might mention Christmas once too. Sue me. From left to right:

Oh Homesense! Their A/W collection is now in store and I’m loving their contemporary Pink Pendant Light (£34.99) with black trim detail. Find a dark corner of your home that need’s an injection of colour, or create a decorative statement by teaming 3 or 5 in row together.

I lost my faithful anchor necklace the other month (sad face) so I’ve been on the lookout for something special to replace it (that’s not too pricey).  I spotted these gorgeous charms from Tilly Sveaas via Stylonylon and have found a few unique contenders. I’m going to take my time and choose one to add to my Christmas list or maybe a trio of charms instead? I really love the seashell (£20) one pictured above.

I was kindly sent this Rose Gold Perfume from Monsoon and I’m besotted. It’s similar to Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle, and lasts long throughout the day without reapplying. I love wearing perfumes that make me feel a little luxurious even when I’m wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Not just for the evening!

This Leaf Bowl (£5.99) from Homesense would make a decorative addition to your hallway console or bedside table, to store your keys and bits and bobs. A lovely gift too for any of your plant loving friends.

I love the sleeve length of this green Crepe Dress (£49) from & Other Stories. It’s detail like this (including pockets) that will make me buy a dress nowadays as I don’t wear them as much as I used to. I’d team it with block heel ankle boots and a colourful scarf for the autumn.

Black tote bags are a smarter choice for the wetter months ahead so I’m a tad smitten with this cheery Dachshund Tote Bag (£15) from The Pippa & Ike Show. Made with 100% fairtrade cotton, this bag will see you through A/W, no bother.

And next on my I-want-all-the-dog-related-products list is the Flocked Dog Brooch (£14) from Howkapow. Made by Bristol-based designer, Sally Haysom, this would make a lovely addition to all those cosy knits that are awaiting their autumn appearance.

We saw Moses Sumney at End of the Road Festival last week and left his set feeling pretty mesmerised. Alongside Bill Callahan, I’d say he left the biggest impression. You can buy his new album, Aromanticism now.

I love monochrome and I’m partial to geometric prints too so naturally I fell head over heels for this sport-luxe-style Cruella de Vil Sweater (£35) from Weekday. I’d wear it with denim jeans to tone the pattern down a little. I like this jumper. A lot.
