At Home: Gingerlily Silk Bedding and Nightwear

Now I have delved into the world of memory foam pillows, I’m on a mission to make our bed the one place that doesn’t scrimp on quality. I’m pretty thrifty with everything else, so it means I can look towards a little luxury now and then; spending a little more money on the things we use every single day and being picky with what we do buy.

Whilst I’m spending most of my bank holiday weekend in bed (because why the heck not?), I thought I’d browse through Gingerlily’s silk nightwear range. Did you know that silk is hypoallergenic and adjusts to body temperature for the ultimate night’s sleep? Not just a fancy schmancy material, my friends! No siree.

I’m used to wearing cotton pyjamas with a band tshirt for bed but I do think it’s time I owned at least one piece of nightwear that is a little more feminine. The selection you see above are all made from the finest ‘A’ Grade Mulberry Silk, which has a high protein content making it especially good for your skin. I love the simple style of the Silk Rose Kaftan Dress in Ivory and the Nude Silk Iris Nightdress is all kinds of special with the detailed black piping and detail. Or if you’re thinking of buying a luxurious gift for someone, the Silk Eye Mask would be a great present (paired with a good book!).

When I next want to buy a new pair of brogues, or when I’m tempted by a new frock/Breton/satchel, I’m going to think of our sleeping environment and how important that is instead. Whether that means investing in luxury bedding or asking for some extra special jim-jams for Christmas, I am on board the sleeping-well train for good. Choo! Choo!

What’s your nightwear of choice?
