At Home: Refresh Rather Than Relocate

As part of their ‘Refresh Rather Than Relocate’ competition, Look Again invited me with some rather nifty bloggers to curate a moodboard of products to refresh a room of our choice. Armed with a pretend budget of £750, I get to cherry-pick my favourite pieces from the site and share with you lovely lot. Plus there is a chance I could actually win my picks too (I’m a proud member of the in it to win it camp) so let the interior battle commence!

As we spend most of our time in the lounge, and it’s the first room we walk into from outside, it was a pretty simple choice to pick it as the perfect revamp candidate. First decision made, then came the hard part – my theme and selection.

We were asked to choose a theme/look and I chose one inspired by colours. I decided to use muted colours, like grey and dark blue, partnered with natural accessories and furniture to then soften the room. All it then needs is a pop of colour using textiles and artwork to add the all important personality and character. Theme? Fresh and modern, shall we say? Yeah, you can tell I’m no interior whizz kid!

My budget was £750 and I came in under at £733, which leaves some extra pennies for plants to finish the room off perfectly. Now I just need to win. I NEEEEED that sofa in our life!

What do you think of my selection? That floral canvas is pretty nifty, isn’t it?
