At Home: 5 Contemporary Rugs
We’re always looking for ways to jazz up the flooring in our house. Living in rented property with brown carpets and dull vinyl flooring does that to you. It might be practical and affordable but I wish landlords would be a bit more inventive! I understand not all properties have decent floor boards underneath but our horrible kitchen floor could benefit from tile effect laminate flooring or a complete over-haul entirely.
As for our lounge, I prefer to cover it with a bold rug to inject a bit of personality. Are you a renter too? Disappointed with your boring flooring? Well, here are five contemporary rugs that I have had my eye on lately, that are right up my street and possibly yours!
1. Lotta From Stockholm // 2. John Lewis // 3 & 4. Urban Outfitters // 5. Ikea
Ah! I do like a good graphic design!
Which is your favourite?

I really like the Ikea one and now want to re-do the lounge mustard!

I know, right? Mustard and dark blue/grey are my fave colour-combos at the mo!

Love number 4! We rent too but luckily our downstairs has stripped wooden floor boards which I love. The upstairs however has horrid old carpets!

I can’t wait for the day to have stripped wooden floors!

I love number 4 too. I had no idea that UO did rugs… just popped over to their website and they have some really lovely ones.

I know! They often have discounts too so worth waiting for.

Number 2 is probably my favourite. I am after a super bright rug and none I see anywhere is bright enough. I guess I will keep looking – it will be a fun project.
