Lately: York, Sunshine and Birthdays

I can’t remember when I last had so much fun in a weekend. We went to York, and it was one of those perfectly relaxed couple of days that made me want to stay the rest of the week, if not forever. I took so many photographs between my phone camera and DSLR, but I’ll split them between posts, to share the York love for a little while longer!

The simple things that made my birthday a brilliant one; reading my book on the direct train, drinking lager and lime in a beer garden filled with sunshine, walking the City Walls taking photographs, neck pain from staring up at York Minster for too long then drinking takeaway coffee on the steps, spending the afternoon in the Minster Gardens watching squirrels and gazing at the flowers in bloom, perfect gifts (records, Orla Kiely goodness, new coat and brogues!), and the sun shining all day long.

Thank you to my partner in crime – it was a perfect birthday and lovely weekend. *Happy contented sigh*
