5 Positive Things To Do This Week #63

uk lifestyle blog

  • Find out where your nearest carol service is, or go caroling yourself. It’s uplifting!
  • Buy plain wrapping paper this year (brown kraft paper from the post office is cheap) and decorate with things you have at home; ribbons, fabric scraps, buttons…get creative! You’ll save a few pennies AND tidy up your knick-knacks too.
  • Give the people you love extra hugs and attention this month. It can be a very stressful month for busy-bees.
  • Try fruit tea for a daily detox. I MUST do this, any recommendations folks?
  • Compare your bruises over mulled wine and gingerbread after an afternoon ice skating with friends.

Brew up and see my previous 5 Positive Things posts here.

Happy Monday!

    Dear Lisa,
I totally recommend the Pukka teas, especially the ‘Detox’ one – it contains organic aniseed, fennel and cardamom. I drink one cup a day and you can almost feel it cleansing you -it makes me feel great! The ‘love’ tea by Pukka is also lovely.
Oh and I’m also going ice-skating with friends this week at the beautiful Natural History Museum rink. It’s it ‘the most wonderful time of the year’ after all!
    Love your blog, Merry Christmas

I definitely agree with the carol service one! I can’t sing but even so it’s loads of fun anyway 🙂
Where I work holds their own Christmas carol service in Bath Abbey which is on Wednesday night this week so we’re going to join in with the Christmas festivities then 🙂 x

I can agree that the Pukka teas are ace. I love the mint and ginger ones for overindulged tummies and a quick pick me up.

Hugs are vital. In fact today I wrote in my journal about my plans to stock up on M hugs before our five days apart next week (sob!)

I’m not really into detox teas (although do like the odd peppermint tea for an upset tummy) but have recently discovered Lady Grey tea, which is amazing! So much lighter and fresher than Earl Grey and perfect with a slice of cake (detox, what detox?) 🙂

For a simple Daily detox, try hot water with the juice from 1/4 to 1/2 of a lemon (depending on how juicy it is). Great in the winter, to wake you up and warm you up in the morning. And in the summer if you have it ice cold, it’s super refreshing!
