Review: ghd candy collection

I’m partial to candy related things. The sweet variety (sherbet lemons, if you’re buying), a lovely Golden Retriever (called Candy) who we look after once in a while, and our brand new tumble dryer, made by a company called Candy. So of course when ghd kindly sent me the IV Mint Styler from the limited edition Candy Collection, I knew it was meant to be (because I’m silly like that).

As part of my morning routine, I use the wide plate ghd styler which I bought on Ebay a few years ago. The larger plates work perfectly with my hair, as although it’s fine there is a lot of it. The candy styler however, have made my mornings run a little faster. With the round barrel they’re tip-top for curling the fringe and I mean, TIP TOP. I haven’t had any fringe issues since I’ve owned these – which is enough to sway me all the way to candy town. They create poker straight ghd hairstyles that last – even for those with hair that often resembles a bird’s nest (ahem), and they have yet to snag or pull at my hair which my wide plate straighteners often do.

Heating up in seconds, the lightweight mint styler is much hotter than I’m used to, which is great for busy mornings (I usually brush my teeth whilst the others heat up!) and they come with a sleep mode feature, a welcome addition for a worry-pot like me – spot the proud owner of a Brownies Home Safety badge. They come in a selction of colours including lemon, violet and my favourite, mint – perfect for brightening up your morning.

Do you use ghd stylers?

Disclosure: ghd sent me a pair of stylers to review. As always all opinions are my own.

I too have natural curls but it takes A LOT of work and time to make them look like nice, if you know what I mean? So I tend to straighten my hair to save time. After this heatwave, I’m gonna try using them to create ‘nice’ waves! x
