7 Ways To Sleep Soundly
1. Keep a clean and tidy bedroom with empty floors and everything in its place. NOTE TO SELF.
2. Read books in bed before you go to sleep. I try to keep magazines out of the bedroom, otherwise I can’t switch off and inspiration takes over my silly brain. Escapism is key.

3. Have flowers by your bedside (as long as you don’t suffer from hayfever!). I find flowers relaxing and some, like Lavender, will prepare you for a sound sleep. A cup of Camomile tea also works a treat.
4. Keep your bed free from clutter. Let air travel underneath and don’t hang bags or clothes on your bed frame. NOTE TO SELF.
5. Buy nightwear that’s comfortable, light and made from quality material. I love these pyjamas from Plumo.
6. Treat yourself to a luxury mattress or new pillows. It makes sense to buy a decent mattress considering the amount of time we spend on it! When we moved from a furnished rented apartment to our unfurnished house we had to buy our own (to my dismay). Thankfully I don’t wake up with an achy back anymore…I just don’t want to get out of bed.
7. Exercise. When I go running or go for a long walk I can guarantee a good nights kip. I haven’t run this week or done any yoga, and I’ve noticed a BIG difference in my sleeping pattern. Lesson learnt (finds running shoes).
Do you have any tips to help you sleep better?

I bookmarked this – most of the things you have written “note to self” on are things I fail at too! I do love my sleep.
