Festive 5: Rosalilium

Festive 5

On the blog this week I’ve lined up some fantastic bloggers and friends to take part in my Festive 5 series. They’ll be asked five questions all about the season – mainly because I’m nosey like that and Christmas makes me happy! First up is the lovely Elizabeth of Rosalilium.

1. Where will you spend Christmas this year?
This year I will be at my Mum’s house celebrating the day with the boyfriend, my Mum, Step-Dad and my two baby sisters. Christmas is so much fun with kiddies around.
2. What are your favourite Christmas memories?
Oooh, tough call. There are so many (not giving away my age or anything!). I think my favourite has to be when I was 4 years old and it was Christmas Eve. My parent’s put me to bed but I pretended to be asleep until they left my room. Then I jumped up to the window and stared up to the sky for what felt like hours. I could have sworn I heard the sleigh bells of Father Christmas on the roof. It was such a magical feeling.
3. What are your must see films for the festive season?
My top five would include Santa Claus the Movie as I grew up watching the film and that is just how I picture the North Pole. Of course, Elf is now a mainstay in my festive routine. I can’t believe how much that film still makes me laugh. Bernard and the Genie is so under-rated, I adore this film. Not so many people know about this film but I think it’s hilarious. Again, I watched it all through my childhood. I think It’s a Wonderful Life is such a stunning film and proper tear-jerker. And finally, The Snowman because I just love singing along to ‘Walking in the Air’.
4. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
A camera. I have received several over the years including a Polaroid in 1993. I have always been fascinated with capturing life and have boxes filled with photographs. I love them.
5. What are you looking forward to most about Christmas?
I am looking forward to relaxing and spending time with loved ones without having to worry about anything at all. It’s all about appreciating the important things in life. So that means family, food and Baileys. In that order. Yep. 😉
