Winter Style: Accessories
I don’t have a Winter wardrobe to unpack after Summer has rested its weary head. The clothes I wear tend to be adaptable all year round and are made weather friendly with accessories I have tucked away in a humble drawer. For example, I’ll happily wear this tea dress in the Summer with wedges and a light knit cardigan for cool evenings. Six months on, my accessory drawer has been emptied and I’m wearing it with chunky knit tights, a pair of fingerless gloves, snood, denim jacket (it was too mild to wear a proper coat!) and suitable footwear. The hat will be coming out of hibernation very soon too (he’s always late to the party).

As for suitable footwear, last year I opted for a pair of Chelsea boots which I ended up wearing all year round. So I was delighted when Barratts came to rescue my chilly calves with a lovely pair of Women’s boots to complete my Winter wardrobe. I found a pair of slouchy, flat, tan leather boots, that fit my calves just right. I’ve worn them almost everyday for a week (I must get out of the habit of wearing things till they drop off!) and can confirm they are now living happily ever after with the rest of the Winter accessory gang. Hurrah for comfortable and beautiful to boot (ahem) footwear!
What type of boots do you prefer for the Winter months?

Disclosure: I was sent a pair of Barratts boots to review. As always, all opinions are my own.

Love this outfit! Blue and brown is such a pretty colour combination. Styling my summer dresses for the cold season is something I’ve tried for the first time this year and I’m finding it a bit difficult (guess I need to stock up on cardigans and tights), but I love that I can now wear my wardrobe all year round now!

That tea dress is lovely – what a great charity shop find – and I love cosying up dresses like this with my winter woolies too! The colours match your new boots so nicely – I thought they were vintage darling!!!

I have black boots that look just like yours, from Aldo. They are more appropriate for work. I want tan ones as well hehe.

I need new boots this year – I usually opt for ankle boots but now need to get some cosy flat boots again. I’ll probably not get them until January though, as is almost always the case!

Cute outfit there Mathilde! I want that cropped denim jacket! Where did you get that?
