It’s a fine day when you receive a box of chocolates, isn’t it? Even better when the chocolates are handpicked from award-winning chocolatiers and sent to you to review. *Pushes up sleeves and starts sampling*

Beautifully presented in a chic ‘letter box friendly’ box, Cocoa Boutique’s artisan handmade creations are exactly how you would imagine. As soon as you open the box (an effort in itself – beautifully packaged!), you are hit with an intoxicating scent – a testament as to how fresh they are?

With a selection of 15 different chocolates, my favourite had to be the Dark Chocolate Brandy Truffle – effortlessly smooth, rich and boozy. The Raspberry with a hint of Orange was delicious, something to do with the crispy shell no doubt? Finally the Dark Chocolate coffee beans – oh my! Is there anything finer than a chocolate-caffeine high? None of the other chocolates disappointed either – I especially liked the simplicity of including white and milk chocolate buttons.

Cocoa Boutique is a luxury chocolate tasting club, something I wouldn’t really consider at the moment (far too many Direct Debits already) however I do think the chocolates are very special and would make a great gift or a very special treat for a quiet night in.
