At Home: My 5 favourite jewellery pieces

At Home is a new feature on the blog which will give you a sneak peek into my life at home and everything that’s in it – well, not everything. I don’t think you’ll be interested in the pile of dirty washing I’m eyeballing right now nor our horrible 70s gas fire – trés chic it is not.

Let’s begin! I was sorting out my clothes and accessories at the weekend in an attempt to make life a lot easier when choosing outfits. I started small with my jewellery collection (softly softly catchy monkey) and have a few bits and bobs ready for the charity shop. What I was left with was a small collection and my five favourite pieces…

1. These lovely art-deco style earrings were gifted to me (Laura Ashley) and I think they are just lovely. Very feminine and they add a pretty touch to any outfit I want to dress up.

2. This necklace is a recent purchase from Heart Gallery made by Molly Ginnelly and is steadily becoming my go-to every day necklace. I like birds. I like the silhouette design made from Formica and the black chain. Job done.

3. This bracelet is a family hand-me-down piece that I adore. Again the clasp is very 20s as are the pearls. Pearls aren’t normally a favourite of mine but I do like to wear this to make me feel special and I like to think of my Great Aunt wearing it back in the day…sentimental so-and-so.

4. Silver Rose studs. I can’t remember where I bought these but they are perfect for everyday. I definitely prefer studs in an earring.

5. This hand-knitted necklace from A Alicia is my something-a-little-different accessory. If I wear this, I get lovely compliments. Which is always, well, lovely!
