The Humble Brogue. | Sow + Roam

When I was a youth I had a brown pair of brogues which my parents forced me into. At the time, I thought they were the spawn of all evil and would most definitely guarantee me a good bullying at school – that and my big boat-sized feet against my then skinny legs. I tried to scuff those bad-boys up given any opportunity – running through fields and digging out dens in the woods but alas they were sturdy through and through.

25 years on, give me the humble brogue any day. They are my go-to shoe and perfect for going about my everyday business and of all the fashion trends that come and go, I’m thankful they made a comeback a few years ago.
