Weekend roundup.
Things I’ve learnt this weekend:
- I must stop apologising to people when I haven’t done anything wrong. Yes, I’m talking to you rude co-op cashier.
- Strawberry and champagne cream cake is good. Very good. Even nicer when I didn’t have to make it.
- Watch one of your favourite films once a week. It makes you feel all homely and content.
- Gin and Ginger beer is a killer combination. Thank you A Thrifty Mrs.
- Working on a Saturday is naff but coming home to a tidy house is great.
- You can wrap fabric around pretty much anything. Look at this crafty project I found on Christine Chitnis website. One for the list me thinks.
- I’m not gonna get the chance to wear my new sandals and midi skirt any time soon. Rain, please go away.

I sometimes find myself apologising for no reason too, it’s like some kind of ridiculous reflex action!

Gin and Ginger is indeed lovely!
I have learned that – I don’t need a TV. We have had none for a week, and it’s fine.
-A place feels more like home to me if I have a teapot there.
-Hammering is quite good fun and very therapeutic.
-Coaches with non-working toilets are bloody annoying.
