Knit fail
I have been attempting to knit a scarf for nearly a year now. Please dont laugh, I’m aware that’s bad. It’s around 20cm in length (I can hear you!) and every time I knit a row I look at it wondering why it doesn’t seem to grow! The main reason for this is because I only pick it up once a blue moon. I admit I’m rather poor at it, dropping stitches left, right and centre. I do enjoy it though when I can be bothered to knit, tres therapeutic. I guess I just presumed because I can sew I could knit too. Wrong deluded Lisa.
Oh well, in honour of National Wool Week, I shall carry on and maybe one fine day I shall be able to wrap some of it around my neck! In fact I’m determined to finish it by Christmas. You have my word (hmm).
In the meantime I bought this beauty from a charity shop the other day to keep me all cosy and warm until my red scarf is long enough…: )
If I could knit better, I’d knit myself a little family of these. How cute are they? Find more of these gorgeous creations on LOve LOttie Knits
Then I would proudly buy a medal brooch from Teasmade and tell the world, I CAN KNIT!
Alas, until then I’ll keep on sewing : )

I saw your ‘knit fail’ tweet so headed over as I’m not the best knitter and it amused me to find my medal at the bottom! I too long for the day to be able to award myself one. Stitching then crochet for me, I’d love to have the time to knit myself fun little friends. Here is a challenge if you finish your scarf and post a pretty picture for all to see I will award you a knit medal of your very own… now go pick up those sticks.

Deal! I managed 4 rows last night and no mistakes were made- hurrah! Your medal will spur me on, something to look forward to! Thank you : )

Cute pics! Are you knitting a garter stitch scarf? That stuff takes forever to grow, it’s like the black hole of knitting!
