Creature comforts

When you’ve finished a good hard day at work, isn’t it the best time to recognise and enjoy your creature comforts? I intend to enjoy all of mine this weekend – smiles!

Number one of my creature comforts is putting my pj’s on. I don’t know what is so comforting about them, but I love them so. Maybe it’s your brains way of telling your body that nothing strenuous is going to happen any time soon – time to relax! I have some blue and white striped ones that are nice and roomy (even more comforting) but look at these ones from Matalan. I’ll be dreaming of Paris in these…and they are only £4! My second creature comfort is Tea. I know, I know, everyone likes tea but seriously how great is it? There’s nothing I like more than an amazing cup of tea to sort me out. This poem by Gladstone sums it up perfectly:

Next, a hot shower….dreamy. I prefer it to a bath I think. I can stand happily in a hot shower for a long time. The hotter the better I say. The one thing that vexes me slightly is our shower curtain, I prefer screens, alas rented accommodation n’all…I’ve found these though which I think are nice:

Gorgeous!

Finally, a blanket. Even in the summer I was found with the blanket wrapped around me. They comfort me so much. We have some of those fleece ones, ah so soft! I swooned a tad when I saw this…

Ah creature comforts. What are yours? ♥

Ohh la la! What a lovely post, all my fave creature comforts except I will have to add the bath! Simplest pleasures for me are going home to a hot, fragrant bath, pjs, large mug of tea (perhaps a nice choccie oaty bikkie) and my blanny! Feeling warm and snug already, roll on the end of the day! ❤
