A Happy Home: Bedside Inspiraton
Whilst we’re deciding what our next move is on the house front, I try to appreciate all the small details and spaces within our little rented home. One of those areas is the bedside.
Lately is has become a practical place (a dumping ground) for books, cables, notebooks and the odd empty glass that hasn’t made its way to the kitchen sink. It needs a makeover, my friends. Fast.
I’d like a pretty and organised space to wake up to this weekend (my birthday!) so after a good browse on Pinterest, I’m raring to go with a few of these simple ideas.
Via Woohome and All Is PrettyTable lamps give both of these bedside tables height and create a contemporary look.
Via Helt Enkelt and 17 ApartBored of your bedside table? Don’t have one? Use what you already own; a simple stool, vintage suitcase or a pair of chairs. The less space your bedside table provides, the less clutter!
Via Up The Wooden Hills, The Design Files, Unknown via PinterestThe small details – keeping it simple with a small bedside table and a large vase of flowers// A pop of colour with a bold art print // A reading haven with a scented candle, books and ceramic dish for your bits and bobs.
Making over a small space within a room is a lot more achievable than thinking about the room as a whole. So this will be my goal for tonight my friends. Mission: reading haven.
P.S I’ll share on the blog in a few days!

My bedside table is covered in other people’s stuff. It’s ridiculous. It’s the side closest to the door which I reckon makes it far too easy for Lucas and Dave to shove whatever’s in their hand on the table, then wander off and forget about it. I would love a pretty bedside lamp rather than the functional one I’ve got at the moment, but really I want to redecorate the whole room!!

My bedside table is a small shelving unit so the sides are full of stuff and the top has just books, tissues, medication, lamp and jewellery/glasses that I wear all the time but the unit itself is not all that pretty! I’ll probably pop a scarf on it at some point though. These ideas are so nice though x
