52 Lists // The Good Things About Your Town
Photos taken late Summer, 2013
- The location. Hebden Bridge is a town surrounded by awesome countryside and the train links you (direct) to Manchester, Leeds and York. Perfect.
- The folk. The people in Hebbers are pretty creative; it’s a community full of artists, writers, musicians and crafters which makes it a lively, unique and inspiring place to live.
- The scenery is breathtaking. In all seasons this place blows me away.
- The abundance of independent shops, cafes and businesses including an awesome cinema and music venue.
- Secondhand goodness in charity, antiques shops and flea markets.
- It’s the one place I think of as home.
What are the good things about your town?

Cambridge has a lot of similar qualities but without ANY hills. It’s so damn flat. I do love the buzz of the students (without them I wouldn’t have a day job!) and I adore the river and cycling.
I have to be honest and say I had never heard of Hebden Bridge until I starting reading your blog. I think I need to plan a mini break, it looks so lovely and right up my street.

I have to agree; you’re very lucky to live in Hebden! My cousin and his wife are also habitants. I think it’s one of the most special places in Yorkshire, hell, in the UK 🙂
Must visit soon.

I really need to visit Hebbers. I love my new home city and am starting to find the things that will make it home. This is good food for thought on that front x
