July Finds

July gift guide

We’re trying to not make any non-essential purchases at the moment, because (drum roll, please) we’re buying a campervan! It’s all a tad exciting but I’ve got a blog post lined up all about it so I won’t bombard you with van spam just yet!

Although we’re being a tad frugal, that hasn’t stopped me bookmarking gift ideas for you lovely lot and sharing a couple of items that I found and bought at the beginning of lockdown too.

Teva Universal Trail Sandals vis ASOS | I’ve wanted a pair of Teva walking sandals for ages but since Polly had her knee operation, I’ve not been walking as much and therefore thought it best to wait till next year when we’re climbing the hills again. Do you have a pair?

Bugger Lugs mug via Trouva | My dad used to call me Bugger Lugs all the time. I think it’s a Yorkshire thing. Do I need another mug? No. Most certainly not. But I might treat myself later down the line for our new van. Dad would approve.

Olaplex Bond Smoother via Look Fantastic | This beauty was recommended by my hairdresser and I’ve yet to buy it until I’ve used up my hair styling cream. She put it on after doing my post-lockdown haircut and I was in shock! It’s so good for taming frizz and making your hair all shiny. Love it!

Haarkon Scotland Magazine | The second book in the Haarkon Adventures series, a self-published printed journal is the perfect gift for any travel enthusiast. We’ll be using this to guide us on Scotland trips, in the van.

Nursem Hand Cream |When you next consider buying hand cream try Nursem. For every product you buy, they give a month’s worth of free Nursem to a nurse or midwife! How cool?

Firewood Carrier via The Hendersons | If you’re crafty or have the time, this would be an easy make. If not, this sturdy wax cotton carrier via The Hendersons is a good choice for collecting wood for your fire. Add these cute matches via Trouva with the carrier to make a unique gift for someone!

Two items we did buy over lockdown included this Storage Bucket via Home Arama to house Polly’s dog food. I love it! They come in all sizes and colours and keep her food fresh. I think these might be useful in the van too!

Finally, I bought these Welk Shells via Shell on Earth to protect our containers from weeds and to help retain moisture. They look pretty too!
