The Gift of Time

I’ve always enjoyed giving gifts at Christmas time, especially the kind that keep on giving like magazine subscriptions or a simple framed photograph of a happy memory. But JING surpassed my idea of a thoughtful gift this year with the concept of ‘the gift of time’, in the lovely form of a Glass Tea Infuser Mug, Tea Timer and samples of Yunnan Gold and Chai Tea.

The idea of these tea gifts are not only to sample delicious tea but to use the infusion/drinking time to relax and focus. How often do we rush our tea and drink it whilst doing other things? I know I do.

To make the perfect cup of tea, 3 minutes is the ideal amount of time to leave the leaves to infuse. The Chai tea was absolutely delicious and a gift in itself (tasted golden!) but during the infusion time I chose to do precisely nothing and enjoy the simple art of making a delicious drink…I even left the biscuits in the biscuit tin!

I know a few people who will appreciate this ‘tea-time’ present and elegant tea set, now I just have to decide which JING variety of tea to gift.
