Lately: Birthdays, Hebden Bridge and Handmade Parade
Hello there, one and all. Had a merry weekend? I’m currently sat on the sofa with a cuppa by my side and feet firmly rested on our coffee table. It’s been a long weekend of birthday celebrations, putting the world to rights and Hebden Bridge awesomeness. Here’s a taste of the past few days folks…
Friday night looked like this in Hebden Bridge. I have to pinch myself sometimes knowing we live in such a beautiful town – gorgeous!
My nephew turned 3 this weekend and had a birthday party at a local play gym. He had so much fun and I felt so proud of him playing with his friends and growing up. Aw!
Dominic’s runaway balloon!
Another birthday! We spent Saturday night drinking champagne, eating at the best Italian in Hebden Bridge (La Perla) and celebrating the sister in law’s birthday. So. Much. Fun.
We then had a games night and I won my first ever game of poker! I might have bragged a little…and all of today too. Muhaha!
Quiet time to read magazines, write letters and eat chocolate. Yes, that duck is edible; all the way from Bruges!
Our new lampshade! I had chance to have a wee sleep-in this morning and kept on gazing up at this beauty from BHS. It’s the Geo Flock Large Lampshade and is a great size for high ceilings like ours. I do love a geometric pattern, and the mustard yellow design gives this design a retro feel too. Do you like?
The annual Hebden Bridge Handmade Parade was spectacular. The theme this year was endangered and extinct animals and the community did themselves proud. Totally worthy of a blog post all of its own of course, so keep your eyes peeled tomorrow!
One more teaser shot; look at the craftsmanship of this enormous Indian Elephant!
The weather was strange this weekend; raining bucket loads one minute and the sun scorching my face the next. I need some wellies this Summer and a raincoat!
Finally, a little time spent to myself painting the nails and listening to a Rolling Stones documentary on 6 Music.
How was your weekend?
♥

That sounds like perfection.
