Made By Molu on the Photo Walk

Well that was one special weekend. I went to Blogtacular, the London blogging conference for creatives, and I can’t reiterate enough how awesome it was. It feels like I’ve been given a new lease of life, direction, motivation and the push I needed to give my blog a good shake-up. It’s made me think towards the future, learn new skills, embrace changes and make big choices; not just in blogging but in my life. Yup, it was that good, my friends.

I travelled to London with my Blogtacular buddy, Folly and Bloom, with butterflies in my belly and a Twitter timeline full of excited tweets from bloggers travelling far and wide to attend this very special event. I wasn’t sure what to expect but with speakers including Joy Cho, Anne Ditmeyer and Natalie Lue to name a few, I knew it was going to be just a little bit brilliant. Oh, and to be in a room full of like-minded people taking guilt free pictures every five seconds whilst asking for the wifi password? Awesome!

There were so many Blogtacular highlights including Anne Ditemyer’s talk on value, the blog business panel with Courtney Adamo, Annabel Beeforth and Allison Sadler and the brilliant video interview with Will Taylor of Bright Bazaar. I was in absolute geek heaven in the social media with intention workshop with Cathy James; I learnt so much and felt like my brain was going to pop, but in a good way!

One workshop did leave a special place in my heart though and that was the photo walk with photographer and filmmaker, Xanthe Berkeley. A group of us paraded the streets of London for a magical morning armed with balloons and cameras. You can see my photographs of this on the blog tomorrow but in the meantime here are a handful of random pictures I snapped over the weekend in London.

Coming home to empty my brain

If you couldn’t make it to Blogtacular this year, do not fret! If you sign up to the Blogtacular mailing list the video of the entire event, including a few workshops I didn’t see, will be there for you to purchase very soon. I’m looking forward to watching the design workshop by Isa Seminega, hands on styling session by Ellie Tennant and branding with Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire. Could I possibly learn more?!

Thank you to the two incredible Kat’s for making your dream come true, The Royal Institute for hosting the event, the speakers who made me well up a couple of times, and all of the talented people I met and spoke with. Big round of applause all round!

P.S All my photo walk photographs will be on the blog tomorrow. Big smiles.
