Lately: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
I haven’t done a proper catch up post for a while so I thought I’d empty my memory card on the camera and browse through my phone to remind myself of the last few weeks, with a cuppa and a mince pie of course.
We were super excited to be looking after Buddy the Beagle a few weeks ago, with the intention of possible rehoming the little pup from a family member. Unfortunately as much as we enjoyed looking after him and his gorgeous personality, we realised he wasn’t the breed for us. Hopefully with enough attention, and lots and lots of walks he’ll stay where he is now and see us for holidays.
However, all is not lost. We know a Golden Retriever is the breed for us, having looked after them before. So we have that to look forward to when we move to a bigger house one day.
Also…
…there has been lots of train journeys this month. I adore the signage at Hebden Bridge station.
My favourite magazine. Saving this beauty for the Christmas holidays!
Mulled wine goodness at Manchester Christmas markets.
Christmas trees, birthday celebrations, shopping and having the best day at the garden centre (I AM OLD!).
Crafty fun at home
The lovely folk at Getincased.com asked me if I’d like to review a personalised phone case. I’d just been gifted a phone from an awesome friend who came to my rescue when my old mobile broke, so being offered a phone case was perfect timing.
I chose to add one of my favourite lyrics from The Charlatans song, Bullet Comes. Of course I thought a few stripes might look nice too (you can tell I’m not a designer!). I’m super chuffed with the case and hopefully it will deter scratches and scuffs in the future! Do you like?
A surprise issue of The Simple Things landed on my doorstep. A very lovely early Christmas gift!
Christmas market pottering…
Buttered fruit teacakes and tea seeing me through busy afternoons blogging and writing!
We were going to wait till next weekend to put the tree up but changed our mind when offered a trip to the garden centre. Joy!
So, what have you been up to? Do tell!

It is zooming past isn’t it!? We haven’t got a tree this year (sad face) but we are going to NZ in two weeks so I’m trying to get my head around a hot Chrimbo! Love the phone case, by the way xx
