Bonjour Madame Nikon!
Say hello to our Nikon D3100!
We’ve wanted a DSLR camera for a wee while but I was determined to make the very best of our secondhand point and shoot (Pentax Optio H90) until we actually needed a new camera. Unfortunately, over the last year, I’ve had to spend a lot of time editing every picture I take on our little Pentax because of silly smudges inside the lens, which was rather time-consuming to say the least. Otherwise it’s a really great camera that I whole-heartedly recommend.
So I’ve been saving my pennies, made from sponsorship on this ‘ere blog, to buy this camera and hopefully develop Mathilde heart Manech and my love of good photography; I don’t think I’ve appreciated anything more. Plus it makes a fancy-schmancy noise when you take a picture…worthy investment I think.
Finally I wanted to say a rather big thank you to my readers and supporters. Without you I wouldn’t have a blog to develop; you each deserve cake and hugs!
What camera do you use? Any DSLR tips?
♥

Ooh yay someone going for Nikon! I so often seem to be the odd one out. I bought this camera for my OH and it is really good. My advice is just practise! I wrote a blog post about getting onto manual (the one regret I have is not getting onto it sooner): http://mycreativephotography.co.uk/2013/09/19/getting-onto-manual/. Look forward to seeing how you get on, let me know if you have any questions.

How very exciting. I use a Canon EOS 400D. I love my gorilla pod which is great for getting a stable shot in low light!

I just got my very first DSLR camera too, and I’m still learning so much.
So can’t wait to see what you come up with 🙂
Hmm maybe…
