Lately: Chatham Marine Deck Shoes
My feet have been in the wars lately; bitten to within an inch of their lives by midges (only drawback of the Summer!), blistered by poorly fitted shoes and to top it all off, my poor left foot was stung by a wasp drunk on berries (don’t ask). So you can imagine my delight to be sent a pair of deck lady shoes to review from Chatham Marine, who specialise in footwear famous for its comfort, quality and durability.
Being one of Britain’s key marine clothing and footwear brands, I thought I’d take my Chestnut Decks for a walk to our local marina next to the Rochdale Canal. They didn’t touch water but nevertheless it’s a pretty spot to sit and people-watch on the canal towpath – also famous for its resident Muscovy Duck (with its own Twitter account!).
I didn’t wear socks with them on my first outing (risky!) but I had no bother at all; they fit my size 5 feet to a tee and were very comfortable, even in the humid temperatures. My feet don’t care about how they look, but I do, and I love their loafer/creeper look and the hand stitched chestnut leather make them a real treat for my feet.
Thank you Chatham Marine for saving my feet!
Happy Sunday!
P.S Are you looking at the duck’s twitter account?!

I normally do not like deck shoes but these ones are so pretty!

They are gorgeous. I’m not usually fond of deck shoes, but I love these.
Also,my husband’s parents raise muscovies. They have a lovely nature (and taste really good).
