Outfit: A Casual Summer Evening

My pale (now freckled) skin can’t take much of the sunshine during the day so I’m much happier at night pottering around in the evening sun in casual attire. Our evenings have been made up of trips to the pub for a pint and a half, chasing blue bottle flies around the house (I need the windows open!), watering plants whilst listening to music and prancing around in my new red chinos and delicious black brogues from Bonprix. Yup, I may have pretended to be a member of The White Stripes a few times…a seven nation army couldn’t hold me back.

It’s hardly original but this outfit pleases me; chinos and brogues are meant to be together. Most of my tops have long sleeves, not ideal for this weather, so I opted for a short-sleeved basic t-shirt but I think when the weather cools a little this outfit would work better with a simple cardigan or striped tee. As for the tote bag, isn’t it lovely? I treated myself a few weeks ago after featuring it on the blog (here) and as predicted, it’s ideal for the Summer. Ah! Chinos, brogues and a new tote bag make Lisa a happy girl.
