Tumble Dryers

Dear Lisa,

In approximately 15 years time you will begin to appreciate things that make your everyday life that little bit more pleasant. Like the little tags on tea towels so you can hang them up, freshly washed sheets, one-pot meals (little washing up) and shake n’ vac (it puts the freshness back). This doesn’t mean to say your love of PJ Harvey, words and films will falter, it won’t, but don’t be surprised when your day is brightened by a machine that dries your clothes and makes them smell like a bouquet of sweet peas. That’s right, a tumble dryer from Argos will brighten your day. You see, you live in a rather small house, so when the radiators and clothes horses are full of clothing it kinda makes the house look and feel cluttered, not to mention it uses up all the heating.  Your Candy tumble dryer has a rather handy condenser so you can empty the water without having to use a vent (like Mum and Dads). To save you time, it also has an easy iron and anti crease setting, because it’s ace like that. Yes, these things begin to matter when you have your own place and little time on your hands.

As for you, stop worrying about what people think about you (especially boys), read lots of books and stand up for yourself; you’ll be just fine. Oh and maybe save a bit more money so your 33 year old self can live by the seaside in a big house.

Best,

Lisa (aged 33).

P.S you will never be excited about ironing – that will always be boring.

P.P.S The photos include a vase of sweet william flowers (removed when dryer in use), a floral tin with tumble dryer sheets inside and a newly framed A3 Moon print from Seventy Tree.

Disclosure: Argos sent me a tumble dryer to review. As always, all opinions are my own.
