Home Accessories: The Contemporary Home

You know those days when you receive the best post? I know, it is rare. But when it happens, it can change your outlook for the whole day. Firstly I received a bumper pack of magazines as a gift, then my own subscriptions arrived and finally, the lovely people from The Contemporary Home, partners of notonthehighstreet.com, were kind enough to send me some products to review and “ooh” and “ah” over. Which is exactly what I did when they arrived. OOH. AH.  I then cut myself a slice of carrot cake and gazed upon all the loveliness.

The Contemporary Home features hand-picked accessories for the home, including a mix of styles for every taste and budget. I chose three practical and pretty pieces to brighten up our little house for Spring, including the ‘Please Smell Us’ Vase by Rob Ryan which has been on my wish list ever since I heard of the sentimental so-and-so that is Rob Ryan. I adore it and may it always be filled with beautiful flowers!

The ‘No Place Like Home’ Doormat  cheers me up whenever I walk through the front door (taps heels together) and is a good quality heavy mat. Hopefully the type will last a while…depending on how many times I pretend I’m Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.

Finally, the Eclectic Cutlery Set is the perfect addition to our plain silverware and proves cute cutlery isn’t just for kids. The forks, spoons and knives have each been tested (for research purposes) with all the best food varieties – cake, pudding, pasta and erm, more cake. They did good.
