Lifestyle: A Weekend Project
I’m an old fashioned gal who lives very much in the present. An example of this is snapping away on my shiny digital camera then printing the pictures off to go in a photograph album or on my wall. Viewing them on a computer or on the box doesn’t quite hit the spot for me yet – it’s all about albums and walls, my friends. Albums and walls. Do you know what I mean? A fine night can be had, with a bottle of red and a good friend, as you tell the story behind the picture of your Dad, wearing a wedding hat in New York. Ahem. Having said all this, I can’t remember the last time I spent an evening filling an album with my treasured personal photographs (I blame life and all its diversions). Can you?
Nowadays you can find next day printing services galore to bring your memories back into the present and I’m all for that folks. So, my photographs from last year and Australia are in the post and I’m planning a weekend project involving A4 sketch books and Washi tape. But first, an overhaul of the vast quantity of poor photographs I have must be done. Note to self – you don’t need five photos of the Eiffel Tower taken from the same angle.
Who’s betting I get distracted and spend my week reminiscing? Ho-hum.

I totally agree, all this digital stuff just doesn’t quite cut it for photos. I love getting them printed and sticking them in albums 🙂

Especially with washi tape!: )

Hah! I can really relate to that. I’m especially bad if it’s a cute animal or a freshly-finished craft project. Photograph all the angles!

I *think* I’m getting better taking photographs. I only try to take one picture of something rather than 10 at once!

Yeah I’ve found I improve quicker when I really force myself to get that good shot the first time. 🙂

I really need to do this. I keep saying I will and then not doing it but this year the albums WILL be made. They WILL.
