Design Delights: Brit-Stitch

Today is all about introductions. An old friend who I haven’t paid attention to for a long time and a new one who I can’t get enough of – always the way, huh?

First up, let’s meet Mathilde, my Dutch bike that I received for my 30th birthday. To celebrate the beginning of Summer, I thought it would be a super idea to bring her out of storage and take her for a stroll. As soon as I clasped my hands around the leather-bound handle bars I felt immediately at home (and immensely guilty for not riding her for so long – bad Lisa). I’ll be partaking  in a little bike maintenance over the coming weeks, which will include replacing her back light, pumping her weary tyres with air and cleaning her from top to bottom. Perhaps purchasing a basket and helmet too? In the words of Queen, I want to ride my bicyle. Bring- bring!

Secondly, I’d like to introduce you to my new satchel courtesy of Brit-Stitch, a beautiful British brand creating bags with tradition, style and heart. Fancy a peek?

Milkman Shoulder Bag, c/o Brit-Stitch // Coat, Charity Shop // Bretton Top, New Look // Jeans, Dorothy Perkins // Walking Boots, Fat Face // Bicycle Brooch, Vintage.

Inspired by a milkman’s cash bag back in 1967, the concept has matured into an array of perfectly crafted, 100% leather satchels for every type of outfit and mood. My Milkman Shoulder Bag, delivers in every aspect – roomy for my wallet, phone, camera, notebook and makeup. Unique in its shape and practical with the magnetic closure, inside pocket and adjustable strap. As for the shade –  it’s ideal for adding a pop of colour against my grey wool coat which I picked up from a local charity shop at the weekend.
