Valentine’s Day Gift Guide
Whether Valentine’s Day is your cup of tea or not, I’m all for celebrating L-O-V-E with a night cuddled up on the sofa watching movies and sharing a bottle of Prosecco. Any excuse right? Receiving a gift as part of that celebration is only a bonus but that’s where the day gets its poor reputation. A gift needn’t be expensive (where’s the romance in that?), just thoughtful – a compilation CD always works a treat for me or a simple card with a sentimental message can be priceless. Nevertheless, there are great gifts out there that can simply convey how much you care. Take a look below for gift inspiration that should gladden any heart (and any budget). No red roses in sight, I promise.
Under £10: You Are My Cup Of Tea Mug, Bread and Jam via Not On The High Street, £8 // Valentine’s Macaroon Gift Box, Bettys, £7.95
Say it with a cuppa and make him breakfast in bed including a freshly brewed cup of tea in his new favourite You Are My Cup Of Tea mug. For the lady, here is a welcome alternative to a box of heart-shaped chocolates (not that I’d turn my nose up at them!). The luxurious Chocolate and Raspberry Macaroons will make an ideal gift for your sweet-toothed sweetheart.
Under £30: Heart Hot Pink Tote Bag, Alphabet Bags, £12 // Dickens Washbag, Graham & Green, £25
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Alphabet Bags are offering 20% off all their cotton totes including this chic Heart Hot Pink tote bag – a daily reminder of your affection when she pops to the shops! For the gentleman with a taste for the traditional, the Dickens Washbag will make a romantic weekend for two complete.
Under £50: New York Mini Collection, Biscuiteers, £30 // Rules To Love By Screen Print, More Than Words via Not On The High Street, £40
Not just a tin of biscuits. The New York Mini Collection will impress the man in your life with a New York state of mind and a taste for travel. Or how about this Rules To Love By screen print? Anything reminding you to cuddle and stick together is a plus in my eyes.
Whatever you have planned, single or coupled-up, what’s your take on February 14th?

Disclosure: I was commissioned by Most Wanted, the lifestyle magazine from VoucherCodes.uk, to act as a Valentine’s Day gift editor for the website. Exciting stuff!

Tell me about it. It will be Spring before we know it! X

Notice how Betty’s has spelled Macaroons correctly (ie not rons). That’s because we know what we’re about up north (we also know how to pronounce scone too).
I’ve just checked out the MW magazine and it’s a perfect fit for your writing style – well done on the commission!!! 🙂
