Tote of the week: Lighthouse tote bag by Soda Kitsch
I might have mentioned before but when I was young I wanted to be a lighthouse keeper. Yes, I was a special child. I’m not sure what the attraction was? Perhaps I liked the thought of living in a cool odd-shaped house right by the sea. Or maybe it was so I could bum-bump down all the windy stairs? Yes, a special child. Lighthouses will always hold a special place in my heart…
Hence this tote.
Now, it’s more than I’d ever pay for a tote but I think it’s beautiful. Handmade by Soda Kitsch, who I saw at last week’s GNCCF, and made of leather. I’d wear this and think of all my childhood dreams…including wanting to sing ‘The Shoop Shoop song (It’s in his kiss)‘ in the school assembly to impress a boy. Woe is me, I wasn’t allowed.

That is stunning. I think you should do a tote of the year in December. The best of all your featured totes!

This tote is particularly stunning. And I love the story. I sadly *was* allowed to sing “It’s Oh So Quiet” in front of my school. At least I got to wear my cute pin vintage sixties swing dress in front of everybody (and with hindsight did impress a boy, just not the one I was trying to impress!)
