Desk part two…

Greetings!

Yesterday I got my camera to work. Hurrah, I hear you cry! Turns out it just needed a new memory card. I cannot tell you how excited I was to see the lights come on, my heart skipped a beat I’m sure. I took about a million photos of stuff I’ve wanted to blog about, only to then find out the laptop doesn’t want to read my memory card. Argh. So I have photos on a healthy camera but cannot transfer them to the computer. I can’t find any cables to use either so I’m stuck once more. Alas, I thought ‘bugger it’ I’m going to use the camera phone instead, although really poor quality, I wanted to show you my new desk/craft area!

It’s my late Nanna’s old kitchen table from the fifties. It’s a drop leaf table so it fits snugly in the lounge and when I need space for sewing etc I simply lift a side up, its perfect! I know it hasn’t got drawers and I have to sit round the side rather than the front, but in the name of ‘Make Do and Mend’ I feel very proud to be reusing this table properly and for a different use! It reminds me of my Nanna’s Christmas Eve buffets when I was a kid : )

Anyhoo’s, you might just be able to make out the Christmas cards I’ve made using vintage fabric, candy stripe twine and typewriter text. Also, two wee crackers (my first attempts – don’t judge!) happily lay on Monica the typewriter till we get our tree.

Yes, you heard right, we are getting a tree. We figured we shall squeeze one in somehow – Christmas isn’t the same without the tree!

Right then, so I guess my mission once again is to get a camera sorted or throw this stupid laptop in the bin (why does everything break at once?).

Happy weekend! ♥
