Joanna Newsom

The other week I was tinkering around in the kitchen feeling a little deflated. In front of me a tonne of washing up that I hadn’t got round to and an hour on the clock before I had to start tea. I needed music to motivate me. I chose Joanna Newsom’s second album Ys and have had her on the cd player ever since. Haunting, magical and I think one of the most talented musicians of our time. I’m going to buy this album for my Dad for Christmas, he’ll love it.
